ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Before moving to Arizona, Randolph Smedley grew up in the southern United States, where being a keen observer of people and a talented teller of tales have always been valued social skills. Rand then sharpened those skills during his long career in sales, sales management, and sales training, where deducing the unstated motivations of a prospect and then presenting a good story about products and services became critical for success.
Rand left sales in 2010 and trained to become a commercially - rated pilot and flight instructor. He soon opened a small, successful flight training center in Southern California, where he helped students, young and old, fulfill their dream of becoming a pilot. Many of his students now fly for major airlines.
Recently, he has returned to his beloved Arizona where he now writes full-time and lives with his wife and three cats. Rand’s goal is to use his lifetime of studying people to write genre fiction populated by fully-realized characters with complex personalities, motivations, and shifting power dynamics.
